The Department of General Dentistry and Orthodontics consists of 16 dental chairs on which dental activities are carried out aimed at the prevention of oral-dental diseases and the treatment of the adult patient and of the child who require dental assistance.
The activity takes place every day from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00; Saturdays from 8:00 to 13:00.
Dental hygiene and prophylaxis therapies are performed, interventions aimed at the care and rehabilitation of dental elements affected by destructive and non-destructive carious lesions thanks to conservative dentistry and endodontics, according to the most current techniques and using the most modern materials.
All therapies are performed with the aim of preserving and rehabilitating the chewing function, paying particular attention to the aesthetic aspect of the smile.
Orthodontics as a clinical activity is an integral part of the UCSC School of Specialization in Orthodontics, providing the necessary care for the correction of skeletal and dental malocclusions.
Services are performed with mobile, functional, fixed orthopedic and orthodontic equipment, according to the most current techniques and most popular with the patient (including lingual therapies), including therapies that provide for surgical correction.

These therapies are carried out by specialists from various disciplines organized in teams using the most modern tools: electromyograph and baropodometric platform also for the evaluation of postural disorders.
Particular attention is given to the serious dysmorphological and dysfunctional problems associated with Down's syndromes, cleft lip and cranium-synostosis, in collaboration with Pediatricians and Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgeons.
At the Complex Operating Unit of Odontostomatological Surgery and Implant-Prosthetic Rehabilitation, located on the 5th floor of our medical center, simple and complex dental extraction, surgical interventions for avulsion eighth included and semi included, cystectomies of the jaws, endodontic surgery are performed.
Dental implantology and implant pre-reconstructive interventions of hard tissues with autologous bone and grafts are also performed. Fixed prosthetic services are also provided on natural teeth and implants, partial removable prostheses, total prostheses and implant-supported overdentures.
Particular attention is paid to the treatment of forms of periodontal disease of the gingival tissues and deep tissues both on natural teeth and on implants. Dental phobic and disabled patients can benefit from anesthetic counseling with possible sedation.
