The Infectious Diseases Unit is dedicated to the care of patients with acute infectious diseases that require intensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and nursing care.
Our outpatient clinic monitors patients with HIV, manages antiretroviral therapy, treats co-infections, and provides prophylaxis for opportunistic diseases. We also offer vaccination programs and care for patients with chronic hepatitis and individuals with various infectious and tropical diseases.
Our Unit performs diagnostic procedures such as liver, bone marrow, and skin biopsies, lumbar punctures, and administers intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy for patients already under our care.
Our team of infectious disease specialists provides consultations across all hospital units to manage severe hospital-acquired infections, optimize diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, and ensure the prudent use of antibiotics.
