Urology

The Urology Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS is dedicated to the treatment of rare and complex urogenital diseases.

The Urology Unit specializes in treating a variety of conditions, including:

• Rare diseases like interstitial cystitis, urethral diverticula, female urethral strictures, rare retroperitoneal diseases, and rare urogenital tumours.
• Complex conditions such as male urinary incontinence, urogenital and urointestinal fistulas, and ureteral strictures.

Accreditation and Research

The Urology Unit is one of the few centers in Italy to be part of the ERN eUROGEN network, which allows the unit to improve patient care through regular multidisciplinary meetings and access to a European platform for discussing clinical cases and conducting teleconsultations with international experts.
