The activities of the Blood Transfusions Service include:
- the donation, production, storage and distribution of blood components;
- therapeutic apheresis;
- transfusion medicine and Patient Blood Management;
- validation of blood components and transfusion safety;
- collection and storage of hematopoietic stem cells;
- collection and storage of Umbilical Cord blood (Unicatt Cord Blood Bank);
- immunohematology laboratory;
- molecular biology laboratory;
- cell manipulation laboratory;
- Immuno-Hematology clinic;
- clinic of the Umbilical Cord Bank.
